Welcome 2013!

7 Jan

I don’t have any fancy or inspirational quotes to kick-start the New Year. No “Keep Calm and Welcome 2013” or “If Not Now, Then When?” to fill a blog post.

What I do have is excitement for the year to come. I jumpstarted the year with a little around-the-house improvements. Reworking items we already own to make something new.

Reworking cookbook bookcase.

Floating shelves in living room

Redecorating the guest room

I also am inspired with a bunch of new craft and recipe projects. Teal and Tulle is now on Twitter and Facebook, making it easier to follow and engage than ever.

So stay tuned to find out the following:

Why did Erin tear pages out of a book?

What happened to this Styrofoam wreath?

Where did this embroidered kitty end up?

Hey mom! Frida still does hang out in there. Right now she has a brightly patterned dress – so she fits right in!

I love your the reworking projects you’ve done. And your guestroom is seriously so cute! Did you do those letters yourself? I am in love with the colors you choose. Can I live there?

I wish I could take credit for the letters – but I bought them as is some years ago in the Bay Area. And yes, you can totally live there! 😉

I love the reworking of the guest room. Does Frieda still hang out there?

She sure is! Wearing a colorful dress to fit into the room, too. 🙂
