Poached Eggs

7 Apr

Don’t laugh. But I’ve never poached an egg before. Never needed to, never had the burning urge to, never thought of it. But over Easter brunch, we decided to make Eggs Benedict, which requires poached eggs. My dad took the lead on this and showed us just how easy it is.

Poached Eggs

Ingredients

Eggs
Water

Preparation

Fill a pan about 1/3 way with water. Bring to a boil.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Crack eggs and add to boiling water. Allow to cook until the whites firm up around the yokes, and the yokes start to cook through. Flip eggs over to finish off the yokes.

These turned out great! I tried to poach an egg once . . . it didn’t go well . . .

I’ve never poached an egg before either! Now I know how, in case I ever get the urge. Thanks E!
